The mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, held a working meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of G'S Spain, David Abram.
At that meeting they have been discussed the last steps necessary for this company is installed in Cieza in the near future.
Recently the company G'S Spain, based in Torre Pacheco and farms in countries such as Poland, Czech Republic, United States and Senegal, has acquired the farm Casa Grande to launch a very interesting business project for Cieza by which they go to produce in these areas 12 million kg of vegetables.
This company is European leader in the production of celery, also having considerable experience in the production of other agricultural products such as lettuce, broccoli or tomatoes.
It has several farms in the southeastern Spanish and is a leading company in the sector.
In Cieza they perform other investments that have to do with facilities cold and vacuum to provide the highest quality of its products in domestic and international markets where they are present.
The government team welcomes this new step for employment in the locality.
In the words of Pascual Lucas, "our task is to facilitate the installation of production and service companies in Cieza with the dual aim of getting more jobs and economic growth, a challenge that we are getting with the municipal daily management."
This task is complementary to traditional agricultural work in the town, since it takes place in other than stone fruit, also these dates, are complementary needs of water resources.
Employment needs are estimated at approximately 25 people for a period of one year and at times of planting and harvesting will reach higher than 250 figures.
