The Instituto de Fomento (Info), through the Unit Investment Acceleration (UNAI), has helped accelerate the necessary procedures to launch an industrial project in Cieza will generate 117 new jobs.
This project, a logistics center, distribution and packaging company Vidal Candies, is one of 26 that manages the UNAI and involving an investment in the region of 439 917 848 euros and the creation of 1,659 jobs.
Info director, Javier Celdrán, highlighted the role of the UNAI as a tool for boosting the business.

Among other issues, the UNAI is responsible for acting as a mediator and link between companies wishing to invest in the region and administrations involved in the processing.
In the case of the draft Vidal Candies, which involves an investment of 12 million euros, this work has focused on providing information and acting as a liaison to resolve technical aspects of the project between the company, the City of Cieza, demarcation Highways Development Ministry or the Directorate General of Planning of the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure.
"This intervention has reduced significantly throughout the administrative processing of a project that will generate over a hundred direct jobs and now comes to an end with the signing of the purchase agreement of land between the City of Cieza and Vidal Confectionary "recalled the director of info.
The project, which thus becomes one of the success cases closed by the UNAI, as two other major business projects in Alhama and Librilla and framed both in the food sector.
Of the 26 projects promoted by the UNAI 12 belong to the food sector, including activities such as feed mills, natural, fruit and vegetables and frozen extracts four chemical sector, four related to tourism, health and sport, two logistics projects and four industrial.
The UNAI is an integrated info administrative unit which aims to provide information, coordinate and promote the implementation of business projects developed in the region and involving the generation of 10 or more permanent jobs full time or involving the performance of an investment in fixed assets (excluding real estate) amounting to less than 400,000 euros.
Besides helping in all matters relating to the administrative processing, UNAI is responsible for guiding and advising on practical aspects as the best place to settle, access to European projects or more competitively market their products and services.
