The Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora, visited today the municipality of Cieza coinciding with the start of the 2016/17 school year in secondary and high schools, with 2,314 students incorporating in this county.

During the day, the Minister of Education visited schools Don Jose Marin and Geronimo Belda and reiterated that "this course, more teachers, more scholarships, more languages ​​and more to serve students with special needs."

The school year in secondary and high schools is completed today with the addition of 12,778 students Abarán, Archena, Blanca, Cieza, Lorca, Puerto Lumbreras and Santomera.

Sanchez-Mora recalled that "counseling has achieved in 2016 to improve schools in Cieza and invested 380,000 euros to rehabilitate the module Primary Education CEIP Don Jose Marin and foundation module Primary also in the CEIP Geronimo Belda."

He also announced that new actions for next year as repairing the roof at the institute Los Albares of Cieza, with an investment of 100,000 euros is expected.

In this regard, Sanchez-Mora explained that "from the regional government continue to improve facilities for the Region to have the best educational infrastructure."

Improvements in Cieza

Regarding the actions carried out in the two ciezanos centers visited today by the Minister, the CEIP Geronimo Belda has received an investment of 131,000 euros for ground consolidation by grouting, repair of pillars and beams of concrete, replacing the current cover, and the replacement of the sewerage system and replacing the pavement outside.

Meanwhile, in the CEIP Don Jose Marin has invested 161,190 euros for the rehabilitation of Primary Education module, with performances repair columns, beams, improving access, as well as painting and insulation of the module.
