The newly introduced map of architectural barriers Cieza of the demands raised at the meeting of the Commission on Disability held on February 12 at the offices of Social Services.
Cristina García-Vaso, Councillor for Social Welfare, asked the Department of Works and Services drawing up a map on existing architectural barriers in the municipality, demand for partnerships for a long time, which has been prepared and submitted the Municipal Council on Disability.
On the map are numbered point where some kind of architectural barrier is detected, reflecting the type and characteristics of them.
Most of the detected points correspond to the absence of ramps at crosswalks, as well as obstacles to the passage to a narrowing of the pedestrian route occur.
Council members, who are representatives of all associations, groups and municipal institutions in the field of disability as well as representatives of municipal political parties are the ones who decide the order of priorities for action, with the ultimate aim of achieving one Cieza with full accessibility on public roads.
