The first edition of the SaborArte gastronomic fair, in the Floración project, with the presence of 22 booths, 16 high level speakers, 20 cooking workshops and quality services has attracted more than 8,500 people.
The Gastronomic Fair of Cieza, SaborArte, framed in the tourism project Floración has achieved "magnificent results" as stated on Thursday the councilor in charge of the event, María Jesús López Moreno, at the press conference in which he assessed the results obtained in his First year of life.
SaborArte, organized by the Department of Commerce and Hospitality of the City of Cieza, as well as the rest of councils that are part of Flowering has achieved a large influx of public during the three days of celebration, which has had numerous services to " Offer a unique experience in which the gastronomic quality, and the comfort for the attending public have been the keys to its success ", declared the mayor Lopez.
This gastronomic event has also had, with the collaboration of the Association of Hosteliers of Cieza, who have put at the disposal of the City Council its society to be able to realize this event in which the Ciezanos restaurants have had a special protagonism.
The fair was celebrated thanks to the participation of 22 booth among which were local restaurants and the rest of the Region of Murcia, wineries and major brands of drinks.
In addition, the program has had renowned chefs of high level who "have brought to SaborArte the quality and the essence of the gastronomy of Murcia that we wanted to expose to the visitors", said Rodi Fernández, chef and gastronomic adviser, member of the organizing committee of the event.
In addition, the City Council offered during these three days cooking workshops for children and adults, in which a total of 400 people participated, being necessary to double the schedules by the large number of registrations received.
On the other hand, to improve the quality of the service, SaborArte has had a service of Ludoteca with food, used by about 100 children throughout the weekend.
SaborArte has also been enlivened by other events during the fair, such as a concert outside the tent, DJ sessions in the wine area or demonstrations by some restaurants.
The closing took place on Sunday at 20:00 hours, with the protagonists being the 6 finalists of the kitchen competition 'SaborArte Pedro J. Arnaldos', held the previous Monday in the Center of Tourism Qualification, with the awarding of prizes to the three First class.
On the other hand, from the council have stated that "this fair has been very important to boost the importance of cigars cuisine and continue to promote the quality of Murcia cuisine, not forgetting that SaborArte has not been made for collection purposes, Profits will go to the participants themselves and the Segura Food Bank, to collaborate in the delivery of food to those who need them most. Mª Jesús López has highlighted the work of the 55 workers who have been part of the development of the fair, including monitors, cooks, cleaning service, security, maintenance personnel, electricity and plumbing, professional waiters, Local Police, Civil Guard, assemblers, designers, etc.
He said that "without the commitment of the sponsors and without the constant work of all these workers, SaborArte would not have been possible, it is a dream come true, a project that leaves us the best taste we could ever have imagined."

The City Council of Cieza is already thinking about the organization of the second edition of SaborArte, but first wants to know the opinion of visitors and participants, so it will launch a citizen consultation and quality survey to know where to improve the fair and To be able to introduce contributions of all in its elaboration.
