The City Council of Cieza turns one more year in its patronal celebrations in honor to San Bartolomé with a program of acts that concentrates a wide range of proposals and activities for all the public, creating for the first time a new space in the Era, where the Young people will have their own programming and opening hours adapted to their nightlife needs.
The Mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, and the Councilor for Culture and Festivities, Maria Ramos, presented the program of the 2017 Fair of Cieza, together with the President of the Brotherhood of San Bartolomé, Laura Villa, the patron saint festivities in San Bartolomé that will begin on August 23 and will last until August 31.
The festive preamble will be put by the XXIX International Festival of Folklore in the Segura (August 18 to 20) organized by the Group of Choirs and Dances of Cieza.
Concerning the musical performances, we can mention the names of La Guardia (day 23), E'motion Band (24), Orquesta Mondragón (26), Retropop (29) and Liverpool Group (31).
The concerts will all be free and will be held in the Plaza de España, where the following shows will also take place: Tribute to the Jahars group (on the 25th), Gran Gala Flamenca by the Rociero del Segura Group (27), pasodobles concert Of the Municipal Band of Cieza (28) and Homage to Antonio Molina and Manolo Escobar by Javier Escobar and Rosalez (30).
On August 24th, Thursday, big day of the patron saint festivities, the Municipal Band of Cieza will not miss its traditional musical target starting at 8 in the morning.
