The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'PALIER II', an investigation aimed at clarifying several thefts with force inside of vehicles parked on the public road of the town of Cieza, which has resulted in the arrest of a person, to which the alleged authorship of at least 11 crimes of robbery with internal force of vehicle is attributed to him.
Benemérita citizens' security forces began the operation after detecting the increase of thefts with force in vehicles parked in the urban center of Cieza, facts that had generated some social alarm in the population.
The first phase of the operation took place last August when the Civil Guard detained the three members of a criminal group, as alleged perpetrators of at least a fortnight of heavy thefts on vehicles committed in the municipality of Cieza.
The investigation remained open in view of the recidivism of the robberies, on suspicion that some member of the criminal group dismantled, could continue acting in the zone.
The Guardia Civil collected the necessary information through the obtaining of evidence in the vehicles assaulted themselves, as well as of possible witnesses that could shed light on the investigation.
These investigations allowed to find out that the robberies had a common denominator: its modus operandi.
The vehicles presented the glass of one of the windows fractured or one of its doors forced by means of lever, which usually took place at dawn.
In addition, it was known that the suspect carried out surveillance prior to the materialization of the robberies, for which he crossed different streets of the locality until choosing his objective: a vehicle that offered him enough guarantees to approach him without being located and at the same time obtaining a plentiful booty.
Surprised after committing a robbery
The Civil Guard has established numerous devices aimed at the location and detention of the suspect, in one of which a body patrol has located an individual arrested in the first phase of the investigation when he was in a street near the place where he had just committed theft inside a vehicle.
At the time of his identification different effects have been intervened, removed from the vehicle violated in the vicinity, reason why he has been arrested as alleged perpetrator of robbery with force.
The development of the operation 'PALIER II' has allowed to clarify 11 crimes of vehicle theft in the municipality of Cieza, attributed, presumably, to the now detained.
The operations 'PALIER I and II', developed by the Civil Guard since last August, have culminated in the arrest of three people, members of a criminal group, which are attributed the alleged authorship of, at least, 26 criminal acts against property.
The arrested male, Spanish, 42 years old and resident of Cieza, the effects recovered and the investigations have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Cieza (Murcia).
