Again the demagoguery and use of symbols and institutions to which the Popular Party has accustomed us reappeared yesterday with the urgent presentation of a motion that sought to show support to the Civil Guard and National Police in the work they are currently doing in Catalonia.
The motion presented by the Popular Party did not seek in any case the consensus of the plenary, but rather the opposite, being presented in the name of a single group, without seeking the unanimity of the plenary in its presentation.
It is well known the position of the Socialist Party regarding the serious situation that is currently experienced in Catalonia and of course in supporting the decisions that from a democratic state such as ours are taken from the legislative, executive and judicial powers.
That the support of the Socialist Party to the bodies and security forces of the state is shown every day without needing full statements that far from seeking consensus, the only thing that seeks to divert attention on the terrible management that they have been doing from the government of the nation and of the party that sustains it before the greater territorial and institutional challenge that Spain undergoes since the restoration of the democracy, obviating the forced dialogue and understanding from the necessary firmness between institutions of the state.
On the other hand we have to clarify that the motion was not debated and therefore there is no pronouncement in any sense since it was not included in the agenda, not being considered as an urgency because its content had no effect at all except the obviousness of a support to our forces and security bodies that in no case is discussed
For the Socialist Party, it does not seem appropriate to transfer a debate in the city of Cieza to the town hall that is not real and which only seeks to divide those who have always been close to our security forces and the rule of law protected by our constitution, so our sincere advice to the popular party Ciezano is to dedicate their effort to the work in pursuit of the citizens of Cieza and stop using the municipal plenary to try to disguise their absence of alternative to Cieza
