The commitment that Citizens Cieza acquired with the neighbors of the neighborhood of Santa Clara-La Ermita to put an end to the problem of bad smells that generates the sewage collector of Ascoy has been fulfilled.

Thanks to a training initiative in the Regional Assembly, a major investment of 360,000 euros will be carried out to end the problem, which the neighbors have been denouncing for years.

The local spokesman, Óscar Verdejo, stressed that "Citizens took good note of this concern, which was reflected even with the collection of signatures to bring to plenary their problem, which considered that the City Council was not giving clear solutions, despite that complaints had been transferred on several occasions. ''

Verdejo stressed that "the work of Cs did not remain in a toast to the sun or a declaration of intentions, but we moved this initiative to our parliamentary group after holding meetings with neighborhood associations in the affected area."

The result of this work has been the approval of an investment of 360,000 euros in regional budgets to address not only the problem in Santa Clara-La Ermita, but also all those related to the sanitation and distribution network of Cieza.

"It is an important day for Cieza, we have shown that you can also make a useful policy from the municipalities," highlighted Verdejo, who added that "thanks to the strength of citizens and their key position for the region's governance, we have been able to resolve a local problem.
