For the first time, the City Council of Cieza organizes the IFeria of Associations among all the entities registered in the municipal registry, and that it will serve to disseminate its activities and show the rich associative fabric of the city.

It is a way of visualizing and recognizing the voluntary and altruistic action of the residents of Cieza.

A total of 35 associations will participate on November 19 in the first edition of an initiative that promotes the Department of Citizen Participation.

The purpose of this event, according to the head of this municipal area Nerea Martínez, "is to project and disseminate the work of the different local associations, an associative fabric that is constantly growing."

Martínez has highlighted the collaboration found in the wide and varied program of activities with which it is intended to publicize and bring to the citizenship the work of groups and associations of the municipality.

In the opinion of the Councilor for Citizen Participation, "they are the true architects and protagonists of this day that will become a showcase"

The stands, in which the work of the associations will be exhibited, will remain open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Thus, in addition to the attention and information to the public, there will be a tent for workshops, conferences and demonstrations.

During these seven hours, activities of all kinds will be developed to share with the family and reach children of all ages.

The participating entities belong to the fields of culture, sports, health, youth, the elderly, sustainability and the environment, equality, social welfare and cooperation, education and animal protection.

For all of them, it is an opportunity to promote communication and the exchange of experiences between associations, creating a meeting space for this purpose.

Participation will also be made in associations of public and private institutions, as well as elderly and disabled people, who will show their services and resources aimed at improving the quality of life of these groups.

Likewise, neighborhood associations, citizen platforms and federation of associations of parents of students will meet at this meeting.
