Cieza City Council has signed a total of thirteen agreements with different clubs and sports entities in the town, as well as three collaboration agreements for the promotion of popular races of local interest, for an amount of 20,450 euros and with which the first institution municipal shows its commitment to the promotion of sports.

The mayor Pascual Lucas has highlighted the importance of sport "as a tool for social integration and healthy habits development" and has insisted that the City of Cieza "wanted to reflect for the second time the form of collaboration agreement with clubs and entities that have a projection in children's and youth's sports ".

In this regard, the councilor noted that "last year we wanted to support the base sports structures of the municipality."

In the same way, he took advantage of the signing ceremony of the firm to congratulate the groups and sports entities for "the extraordinary social work they do" and stressed that "the best way to do this is by helping economically".

Finally, Lucas announced the next comprehensive remodeling of the Mariano Rojas Municipal Sports Center and the Juan Manuel Molina athletics track, two municipal sports facilities that will undergo a profound transformation, to which the improvement works will be added in the La Arboleja Soccer Field and the Sala de Barrio Alejandro Yepes Balsalobre 'Álex'.

The clubs that benefit from these municipal aids are the Ruy López Chess Club, the Cieza Tennis Club, the Cieza Sports Club, the Cieza Bosco Club Association, the Cieza Futsal Club, the Cieza Indoor Football Club, the Athleo Cieza Athletics Club Association, the Cieza Handball School Club, Cieza Club Basketball School, Thader Kayak Kayaking Club, Cieza Voleadores Club, Siyâsa Canoeing School Club and Kenwa Club.

On the other hand, the associations that benefit from these grants for the promotion of popular races are the Spanish Youth Organization, the Association of the Brotherhood of Santa María Magdalena and the Association of the Brotherhood of Santa Verónica, responsible for the organization of the Los Puentes de Cieza events. , Half Marathon and 10 K Solidarity 'Ciudad de Cieza' and San Silvestre Memorial 'Antonio S. Piñera López, respectively.
