The Department of Tourism of the City of Cieza organized on Monday a 'fam trip' with ASGUIMUR, Association of Official Tourism Guides of the Region of Murcia.
The objective of this marketing strategy, also known as "familiarization trips", in which some 20 official guides have participated, is to inform the professionals of the sector about the tourist, cultural and landscape heritage that Cieza offers its visitors.
The visit began with the reception in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall of Cieza by the mayor, Pascual Lucas, and the Councilor for Tourism, Antonio Moya.
Next they planned to visit the Interpretation Center of Folklore and the House Museum of Holy Week, to continue with the uninhabited Medina Siyâsa and the Serreta cave.
They concluded by visiting a spot in bloom, another of the tourist attractions.
ASGUIMUR is an Association of Official Tourism Guides of the Region of Murcia composed of 57 professional tourism guides that, in turn, belongs to CEFAPIT, Spanish Confederation of Federations and Associations of Official Tourism Guides, to FEG (European Federation of Guides) ) and WFTGA (World Federation of Girl Guides).
These entities are born with the vocation of defending the office of official guide and raise the profession to the category and rank it deserves among the professions recognized and regulated by the European Union.
