Cieza takes the baton of Mula in the II edition of the Fiesta de la Historia.
A program of free activities of a formative, didactic and cultural nature will take place between the months of February and May.
The intention is to bring the story to the public in a plural and playful way.
The kick-off will be given tomorrow, Wednesday, with the II Days of the History Festival, which on February 7 and 8 will offer several conferences and a round table at the Padre Salmerón de Cieza Library.
The activities will begin on Tuesday, February 7 at 4:30 pm, with the inauguration and a conference on the Challenges of the Social Science faculty of the 21st century by José Jesús García Hourcade.
At 6.30 pm there will be a round table on "Didactics of History: Investigations and Challenges of the 21st Century", in which Francisco Javier Trigueros Cano, José Monteagudo Fernández and Cosme J. Gómez Carrasco will participate.
On Wednesday 8, lectures on heritage are announced as a resource for teaching, and didactic proposals for the teaching of Social Sciences and local history.
The activities are organized by the Center of Professors and Resources of the Region of Murcia and in them the University of Murcia collaborates through the Vice-rectorate of Training and Innovation and the City of Cieza.
The coordination is in charge of Raquel Sánchez Ibáñez, professor of the Faculty of Education of the UMU.
The Festival of History, an initiative that emerged at the University of Bologna eleven years ago and has become a focus of tourist attraction in the Italian country, being imported to other European cities.
Last year began in the Region of Murcia.
