The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Javier Celdrán, and the Mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, presented today in Murcia the second edition of 'La Floración' which this year extends its program with a set of musical and sports events, combined with new tours of heritage and nature, exhibitions, contests and tastings of the dishes of the earth, which will take place from February 17 to March 17.
Celdrán stressed that "Flowering is possible thanks to the year-round work of farmers and the care of fruit trees that become a spectacle for all the senses with spring."
The Minister recalled that the boost of active tourism and nature "is one of the strategic lines of action of the regional government, it is one of the five products contemplated by the Strategic Tourism Plan to deseasonalize and diversify tourism in the Region" .
In addition, this tourist modality "contributes to the implementation of a sustainable model capable of boosting the territory, generating new income, enhancing biodiversity and improving its management and conservation." Flowering is part of this form of tourism and is one of the great resources natural, tourist and cultural areas of the Region, "said Celdrán.
