Citizens will see their services and their quality of life increased with both actions undertaken by the Department of Works within the POS and the PARDOS plan, both with funds from the CARM.
The works are quite advanced, shortly after completing their execution, and were visited on Tuesday by the mayor, Pascual Lucas, and the first deputy mayor and councilor of the branch, Francisco Saorín, who stressed that the management of the municipal executive has allowed to reduce the initial budget of both projects in a total of 102,828 euros.
"A saving, without including the free improvements over 40,000 euros, which has been provided to the Autonomous Community thanks to the excessive zeal of the local administration and that, however, this does not allow us to use to use the excess money in other necessary actions that affect the municipality, "they complained, arguing that the reduction achieved" is an example of good management of municipal resources and that this government fulfills its commitments with citizens. "
Both coincided in pointing out that these are investments in high demand by the neighbors for a long time.
"The project of the Morcillo village, for example, was voted through the participatory POS through a process developed by the Department of Citizen Participation directed by Nerea Martínez."
This first action, whose initial budget was 171,148 euros, reducing the execution to 147,620, consists of the demolition of pavements, construction of sidewalks adapted to the accessibility regulations, formation of fords, road surface settlement, as well as horizontal signage and vertical.
The work includes improvements for 21,800 euros such as the patching of the road along a kilometer in Abarán Avenue and IES Los Albares area, in addition to the repainting of parking signs and the reconstruction of the La Arboleja sidewalk.
"Thanks to it, users of the Lorenzo Guirao Hospital, IES Los Albares, the funeral home, the different sports areas nearby and the many citizens who use this space for sports, will increase their comfort, accessibility and road safety."
The mayor announced that the intention of the municipal government is to complete the action in this area with the construction of a roundabout or traffic signaling installation at the intersection of Morcillo village with the old National 301 to avoid danger and ensure safety for pedestrians and drivers of vehicles on roads that are well traveled by the amount of facilities and services in their environment.
On the other hand, the actions in the four neighborhoods of San José Obrero have focused on the demolition of old pavements to subsequently rearrange the differences in soil level in favor of accessibility, making concrete and paving areas treated, with replenishment of facilities and installation of ramps and rails adapted to the law of accessibility.
This work has free improvements that include the placement of parking for bicycles, the replacement of luminaries in the roundabouts, the refurbishment of the Plaza de San Pedro and the arrangement of the landscaped areas.
The initial budget of the project imported 250,300 euros, but the local Executive managed to reduce it to 171,000.
Lucas expressed in a special way his "satisfaction" for the conditioning of the roundabouts and highlighting the elimination of architectural barriers.
"These actions were very demanded by the neighbors and, in the absence of the adequacy of the gardens and the installation of the luminaires, we can assure that a great job has been done and that they will be finished by early March".
Likewise, Saorín confirmed that there has been an improvement "of 200% in the quality of life of the neighbors, many of them older people, not capricious actions, but of extreme necessity".
