During the years 2000, 2004, 2005, 2012, 2015 and 2018 the Socialist Party of the Region of Murcia has been presenting a motion in the Regional Assembly for textbooks to be free in the Region of Murcia, as in the case of other communities where the socialists govern.
Today, Thursday March 22 has made possible, once and for all this commitment for which has been fighting almost since the Popular Party came to the Government.
We know that the PP can not expect large investments in education, has reduced the budget allocated to education of the General State Budgets, but the elimination of barriers at an early age becomes vital to continue guaranteeing access by the citizens who need it most economically.
With this measure, the change that began in Cieza in June 2015 when the progress reached the municipalities and installed a municipal book bank, allocating year after year 15,000 euros from the municipal budget.
Today, it is transferred to all the municipalities of the Region, regardless of who governs.
Consequently, the Region of Murcia is in luck, with the proposal of the Socialists we continue to contribute to improving the educational system of our region.
Moving, therefore, to each of the houses of our Murcia neighbors improvements in your pocket and in our educational system.
We Murcia make history again eradicating one of the economic barriers that cause inequalities in our neighbors.
