The Director General of Industry, Energy and Mines, José Francisco Puche, accompanied by the Mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo, today inaugurated the rural electrification work place 'The Macetúa', which provides power to 24 farms, agribusiness farms and homes .
This work of electrification has meant an investment of 103,228 by the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research and consists of the installation of a total of 6.3 miles of power lines, of which 4.1 miles are high line voltage and 2.2 km are low voltage.
Puche explained that this initiative meets one of the objectives of the Industrial Plan for the Region of Murcia, as it "improves the energy infrastructure of rural enterprises and increase the competitiveness of farms who work at this place, and provide this service to housing, which will benefit from access to power quality. "
The installation of new electrical wiring is encased in the Rural Electrification Program in the Region of Murcia 2007-2013, developing the Ministry through the Directorate General of Industry, Energy and Mines, and aimed, inter alia, the extension infrastructure of the structures that support the provision of essential services throughout the regional signal, especially in rural areas.
