The Civil Guard has developed over the past few days an investigation that has led to the arrest of two persons suspected of committing the crimes of fraud and counterfeiting.

The detainees, who allegedly engaged in carrying out the scam of "negative", they have seized all the equipment necessary to carry out this type of scam also allegedly counterfeit money.

During the afternoon of Tuesday, May 14, Civil Guard officers caught two people circulating with a vehicle, which were in possession of € 2,500 in allegedly counterfeit banknotes.

Realizing this fact, the agents conducted a thorough inspection of the vehicle, they found bottles containing chemicals in liquid, legal tender notes with strange marks and foil.

Civil Guard to seize the effects on both vehicle and notes as legal tender allegedly falsified generally used to carry out the fraud known as "negative scam, proceeded to the arrest of these two persons suspected of crimes currency counterfeiting and fraud.

In this scam, the alleged victims authors propose to "multiply" legal tender notes tinting white papers.

It uses a chemical process involving the introduction of a bill of legal tender between two white papers of the same size as the ticket.

This is followed by the impregnation of all ticket paper and chemicals, are wrapped in aluminum foil and pressed, and later, place in a container with water and soap or any cleaning product for washing of the whole.

To successfully complete the process you need cotton or other similar substance for drying the papers, which do not carry the scammers.

For these reasons and in order to conclude the process, the victim leaves the scene to look, when it is used to make the change of the role set ticket tinted and legal tender notes.

When the victim of fraud back to the drying material, check that the result of the operation are good legal tender notes.

If the first show the victim had "crushed", is a second time with scammers and delivers a lot of money for the chemical process.

But this time the suspects made the exchange notes and white papers and tell the victim that the transformation process is slow, scammers eventually leave with good notes and the victim is left with scraps of paper.

Detainee:

So far two people have been arrested as suspects of crimes of counterfeiting and fraud, identified as:

- Burkina Faso, 39 years old and living in Murcia.

-, Burkina Faso, 20 years old and living in Murcia.

Seized property:

- Five counterfeit 500-euro notes.

- 470 euros in legal tender notes 50 and 20 euros.

- Several bottles containing chemicals in liquid, used as a course developer.

- Aluminum foil.

- Tickets tinted for use as negative.

The detainees, seized property proceedings initiated and have been brought to the Magistrate's Court Number One of Cieza (Murcia).
