The Autonomous Community has contributed 240,000 euros for the refurbishment of a local municipal de Cieza and install there the Child Development Center and Early (CDIAT), opened today by the Minister for Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana and directed to children under six years that are disabled.
The new center had an investment of 322,908 euros, of which 75 percent was provided by the regional administration, and the remaining 82,909 euros, by the City ciezano.
Its mayor, Antonio Tamayo, along with the managing director of the Institute of Social Action Murciano, Isabel Sola, attended the launching ceremony of the new units, for whose maintenance this year is planned regional grant of 116,235 euros.
The CDIAT is located on the first floor of a multifunctional building, known as the Cultural Center and serve a population of children from zero to six years to present functional limitations or is at risk of allergies.
Your maximum weekly capacity direct treatment, in sessions of 45 minutes is 80 children.
The overall objective is to provide an adequate and sufficient to ensure proper delivery to the affected children, the family and the environment.
We intend to answer as soon as possible temporary or permanent needs presented by children with developmental disorders or at risk of suffering.
Specific objectives include improving the quality of care, taking into account the real demand in the municipality, as the above facilities were inadequate, to improve the range of treatments, with enough space to teach psychomotor skills and training to families, and eliminate architectural barriers to comply with current legislation on disability.
With the new center is planned to expand the current staff, consisting of six workers, including physiotherapists and speech therapists stimulators.
The Region of Murcia has to date 2,864 subsidized spaces or arranged by the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration to the care of people with disabilities in 142 centers.
Of these, 27 are centers and Early Childhood Development, in which it serves 3,247 users.
