Have been rehabilitated facades, roofs and decorative elements of ten buildings, from mansions to family homes
The Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, accompanied by the Mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo, today visited the processional route the old part of town, after the work done to revitalize ciezano part of architectural heritage.
"The conservation work on the facades of the houses in the environment have restored its splendor to this journey of great tradition in the town, coinciding with Easter, so the ciezanos and hundreds of visitors who flock to the town this time will enjoy an environment of great historical and cultural value, "said the counselor.
Specifically, they have restored the facades, roofs and decorative elements of a total of ten fronts, ranging from stately homes to houses with more than half a century old.
"The finished works, which combine the preservation of the original elements of the buildings and the aesthetic improvement of the town of Cieza, aim to increase the attractiveness of the processions of Holy Week Cieza, with more than 450 years old , has been declared a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest and work to be elevated to the National category, "said José Ballesta.
In addition, new works by Revitalization contemplated in the vicinity of the old processional route through the housing plan.
The performance environment forms an Integral Rehabilitation Area (ARI) that provides for the rehabilitation of 200 homes interior and exterior of the blocks and communal areas, with works to improve accessibility and energy conservation.
The works include the renovation of two public spaces: the Holy Placeta of 473 m2, and exit from the Paseo de Ronda, of 1,400 m2, which will improve accessibility, renewed street furniture and paving and conditioned areas gardens.
