The Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives in the Region of Murcia (FECOAM), together with the Agency for Energy Management in the Region of Murcia (Argemir) and the multinational Dalkia, perform the following days a series of meetings to inform farmers about the installation of a biomass plant in Cieza for the energy of pruning their holdings.
The first will take place on Monday, March 17, in the cooperative Thader (19.00 hours), the second on Tuesday, May 18, Food facilities in Cieza (19.00), and the third in the Municipal Auditorium in Calasparra, the October 24, at 20 hours.
The meetings will inform the location of the plant, and to present a study on the energy use of yard trimmings in the city, the economic benefits to farmers for providing these remains and logistics system for delivery to the plant biomass.
Also explain the aid available for the purchase of equipment and facilities that improve energy efficiency at the farm of the partners.
The future biomass plant in 2014, have a capacity of 16 megawatts and a capacity of processing 100,000 tons of biofuel agriculture and forestry.
Its location is the town of Cieza, but will have a range of over 100 kilometers.
The project will re-evaluate the waste from varietal changes or agricultural prunings and provide clean power to 25,000 homes.
Also, will a solution to the environmental problem that affects agricultural entrepreneurs and freelancers because existing legal constraints to dispose of these wastes by burning them.
Biomass is a fuel of biological origin completely environmentally friendly: it offers a CO2-neutral.
Its combustion does not increase the greenhouse effect because the carbon released as part of the atmosphere now is the continuously absorb and release the plants during their growth (photosynthesis).
It is the only renewable energy capable of supplying a constant flow of electricity unchanged.
Operates 24 hours a day, placing it as the most suitable to ensure the proper functioning of the 'mix' of energy.
