Technicians of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water this week offered an information day on the application of conditionality in the season 2011, one of those covered by the European Agricultural Policy (CAP) on the requirements to be met and livestock farms, beneficiaries of EU aid.
In this briefing, held at the District Agricultural Office Vega Alta, located in Cieza, which also serves the towns of Calasparra, Abarán and White were released mandatory rules and requirements depending on the type of operation and how such compliance is verified and any penalties that otherwise would apply to them.
Conditionality is a key element of the Common Agricultural Policy, which applies from 2005 and links the payment of CAP payments to compliance with certain standards and requirements for animal health and welfare, food safety, wholesomeness of sustainable food and farming and rural territory.
