On Sunday February 26 began a new edition of the Regional Cup Races Mountains organized by the Mountaineering Federation of the Region of Murcia, where for the third year the CAT Totana is present.
Likewise for the third year the Cup began with the well established "Rise to Portazgo" test of 24.6 kilometers and 1335 meters of positive difference and that despite its short existence, has become a schedule mountain fixed regional , especially the improvements from the GSM The Turnpike included, as the explosive rise to the Watchtower, where in just over two kilometers amounting to almost 600 meters.
After it began a steep descent and very technical to go slowly Plunging more than 350 participants in the heart of the Sierra del Oro, with the highest peak in the top of the Turnpike, to 927 meters.

On the role of the broad representation mountaineer Totana CAT, Fulgencio Garcia Garro ended with a great lap time of 2h: 34:30, up to the podium by finishing second in the Veterans category.

The third goal was to cross totanero Bartolomé Sánchez Muñoz that despite their muscular and having finished the third day before the Race for Rare Disorders, completing the tough course with a time of 2h: 59:16.

So nine were members of the Club who took part in this event, organized with great success.

ANNIVERSARY RACE 474 Marines (Cartagena)
Last Sunday was held in Cartagena 26 Career Marine Corps 475th anniversary.
Some 500 participants took the start for a tour that consisted of 11 miles was the start and finish in the Third of Levante, passing the castle of Galeras.
The most unique is that almost 4 km, were up to the Castle of Galera, creator of the caliber of Marines for decades, this increase included a stunning view of the Arsenal and a return within the castle and down to the line goal.
This Carrea CAT was represented by Jose Manuel Vazquez Ares, who invested a 1:02:02 time, to complete the course.
