The government delegate in Murcia, Joaquin Bascuñana, along with the mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo, inaugurated this morning the rotunda of the N-301 input to the region that forms part of the work on improving the urban sections of the State road network in the municipality of Cieza.
These works have been performed under the agreement to keep the Ministry of Development and the City of Cieza, whereby the Government of Spain cedes the consistory sections of the State Highway Network that have been absorbed within the city limits.
This is the case of 4.4 kilometers of road N-301 and known as Cieza Crossing.
In addition, the agreement involves a financial contribution to defray these rehabilitation activities and functional improvement, close to 950,000 euros, the Ministry has forwarded to the City Council after the end of each section works.
Specifically, today it has set up the rotunda of the N-301 Cieza entry substantially improves the connection and accessibility to that municipality.
The works in this new infrastructure has involved the demolition of the bridge over the N-301 and the construction of the roundabout, which has an inner radius of 33 meters and 44 meters outside and two-lane width of 4 meters .
Furthermore, there has been an access road to the N-301 to Cieza a traffic lane in each direction and an additional input and output.
The aim of these works of functional improvement of state highways provided the City of Cieza has been greater capacity and fluid flow and provide these features distinctly urban sections that allow inclusion in the municipal road.
