These conferences were held to mark the project Meddea participating in the Consistory ciezano.
In these letters they exchanged experiences between representatives of the municipalities of the countries participating in the project, among them Italy, Portugal, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Slovenia and Spain.
Specifically, Maria Dolores Hortelano revealed actions that had taken place in the town City Council on development and planning, communication, cooperation and mobility, being, in his opinion, very productive exchange of experiences that allow to know the actions that have made other municipalities, especially in areas where Cieza has weaknesses, to strengthen and further improve the energy savings.
The project, to be completed in September 2013, aims to get countries to be energy self-sufficient and meet commitments to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases agreed by the European Commission and set out in the Comprehensive Energy Saving and Efficiency Region.
One of the advantages of the project is to work from the municipalities through energy agencies, in the case of the towns of Murcia, through ARGEM, so that this initiative will serve as a tool to complement the Covenant of Mayors signed by all municipalities in the region.
