This time, the government of Antonio Tamayo socialist has rejected a proposal to create a special reduced rate of drinking water as a measure of support for the hospitality sector and small and medium business in the municipality.
The Socialist councilor José Luis Sánchez argued that the aim of the proposal presented Municipal Socialist Group in the House, is to promote the creation of a special reduced rate of water supply for the hotel and the small and medium business, allowing cheaper receipt of water and thus a reduction in the fixed costs of these businesses.
The PSOE councilor justified the proposal that the current economic situation, with high unemployment and declining wages remaining families purchasing power, directly contributes to the fall in consumption.
Furthermore, it has been shown that the measures imposed by the government of Rajoy as: The rise in the rate of VAT, personal income tax rise or eliminating bonus of public employees have a malicious additive effect in the crash consumption, whose dire economic consequences preys especially on small and medium sector and the catering trade, suffered a significant drop in revenue while increasing fixed costs, such as light or water.
Sanchez recalls that the retail and hospitality industry are a strategic town on which many families ciezanas therefore any action that helps to maintain local employment in the sector should be a priority for local government.
Regrets that the PP does not see well, and prefer to stay out of the serious problems that threaten the jobs and incomes of many families ciezanas, which in the opinion of the PSOE is a very irresponsible.
The statement concludes Socialist Party, claiming that the government headed by Antonio Tamayo, merely give a resounding no to any measure proposed to support the retail and hospitality of our city, but is unable to present any alternative or government initiative aimed at solving the problems of Cieza.
