Currently, it easy to see many shortcomings in such essentials as street lighting, garbage collection and waste, street cleaning, presence of rodents, or even in the state of the containers, which among other perceived causes nuisance odors. In the words of Antonio Ignacio Martínez-Real, Secretary General of the PSOE in Cieza, "We urge our leaders to act quickly and effectively to meet the just demands of the residents of Barrio Street Montiel, which unfortunately has been happening as growing areas in our city, suffer neglect and carelessness of our rulers installed in abject complacency are unable to ensure the efficient delivery of public services. And all this despite the fact that today the public is paying more taxes than ever, yet is getting worse services. ".
Finally, the press release concluded by recalling that "in general the streets of our city are increasingly filthy with crosswalks invisible or nonexistent, with tiles and slabs in poor condition and many of them loose, no bins in many areas of our city, especially in the old town, and even vertical road safety signs in disrepair.
