Last year, failure to invest the limited collection item in the budget to repair roads, some 12,000 euros, the government of Antonio Tamayo preferred to divert the Capitol, despite urging action on numerous roads are practically impassable .
The PSOE through their councilor José Luis Sánchez, accuses the government team that has not seen as a priority the preservation of rural roads in the municipality, especially when they are an essential infrastructure for the development of the main economic activity of the town, the agriculture.
Sanchez says that the situation of many rural roads is critical.
"It is virtually impossible to go through some of them without risking breaking a car and needless to say, if we talk about the trucks that carry fruit that are immersed in a sea of continuous bumps and potholes."
In this situation, the PSOE has urged the government team to the approval of a conservation plan of rural roads.
Sanchez says that it is useless to spend on asphalt then not apply effective conservation policy to maintain and extend the useful life of infrastructure, adding that "pave a path to leave after the deterioration is throwing money to the citizens."
In this sense, the socialist municipal group has proposed to local government:
1 - Creating a municipal commission for monitoring the condition of rural roads, which are integrated unions and agricultural organizations of the municipality.
The commission's main purpose is to establish the priorities for action and implementation of investments in the maintenance and repair of rural roads, according to the items that are intended in municipal budgets, based on objective criteria of need by state conservation and transit, among others.
2 - The development of a catalog municipal public roads, to reflect the actual state of conservation, which will be updated periodically collecting incidents that communicate by citizens and municipal services.
3 - request the SEF job memory for the execution of works of maintenance and upkeep of rural roads, allowing also generate jobs for the town.
