The Youth Orchestra of Cieza (YCW) is a project born from the desire to make music that young ciezanos share.
The formation, independent of any school or institution and recognized as an association, fills a gap which so far existed between music education and professionalism of Cieza.
So JOCI offer 20 young people between 15 and 30 years with average or higher musical education the opportunity to play in an orchestra, while offering new proposals for public cultural concern.
Committed to the most disadvantaged, the JOCI intends to return to society's interest in music and culture from the ground up, and that people feel identified with his artwork.
Its objectives are to achieve maximum freshness, originality, excellence and rigor, promote the cultural wealth and values, creating once and for all a real orchestra ciezana, defend Cieza musical heritage and contribute to the promotion of emerging and established soloists Cieza.
In early September, will perform a concert presentation, and will be the day that officially born Cieza Youth Orchestra.
From JOCI want to communicate that in the future, in future projects, we will have the cooperation of other musicians, thus covering all types of musical repertoire that our town has had.
