The composer ciezano Francisco Jose Rios Lopez has won the First Prize in the VI ° International Composition Competition for accordion Francisco Escudero, framed within the Cultural Week XXVII of this instrument in Zarautz, with the work "Harkaitza" for accordion, clarinet and cello .
In addition to a cash prize, the work will be published.
Subsequently, in September 2014, during the Cultural Week XXVIII, the work will be released.
Francisco Jose Rios (Cieza, 1992), received his early musical studies at the Conservatory of our town, passing with high marks his undergraduate studies at the Conservatory of Music of Murcia, in the specialties of Direction and Composition.
Currently studying composition "Musikene" St. Sebastian, having received masterclass by composers such as Elena Mendoza, Aureliano Cattaneo, Sonia Megías or Alberto Bernal, among others.
Since this past July and, since its founding, is chief conductor of the Youth Orchestra of Cieza (YCW).
