The 2013 edition of the Sports Awards 'Cieza City', organized by the Sports Council, will be held on Thursday, December 26th, at night, from 20:30, the Municipal Auditorium with Aurelio Guirao assistance between other mayor, Antonio Tamayo, and sports council, Matías Rios.

These awards provide a number of categories in which institutionally recognized the work that both clubs, athletes and groups or companies perform in promoting and spreading the sport as an integrative value of human beings.

These awards are intended to enhance the social recognition of sport and highlight the effort and dedication of all sectors linked to the world of local sports.

May be candidates those local sports organizations, individual athletes, schools, outstanding individuals in education and / or sports research and people with a long career in the pursuit of sports promotion in our town.

The criteria in different categories for obtaining this recognition are closely linked, first, to competition, understood as the basis of self-improvement, which resides in the work, perseverance and the will.

The promotion and dissemination of the sport, regardless of the outcome, is another important pillars that are considered for the awards, which is why we want to recognize the educational aspect of this area, school sports, educational and sports research both attached, or the added effort that shows physical activity practiced by those who have any kind of physical or mental limitation, since in practice this activity, in addition to the essential health effects, is where are others such as emotional control, joy or integration.
