The Catholic University of Murcia and the municipality of Cieza have signed a collaboration agreement for research in the area of ​​new technologies.
This is a first approach between the two institutions was completed with the launch of a project on smart cities.
The agreement was signed by the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, and the mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo, who pointed out the importance of this agreement "that offers many possibilities when it comes to technological advances."
During the signing of it, was also present Juan Miguel Navarro, head of the Research Group of Advanced Telecommunications University, who emphasized the great tendency that exists in Spain on smart cities.
"At the University we are working on this line, not only cities but also with companies," he qualified.
