The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, this afternoon visited some of the parcels affected by the heavy hail that fell yesterday in Cieza.

The agriculture minister said that between 2,500 and 3,000 hectares have been affected.

He added that although the production losses are estimated at 25 percent fruit remained uncollected, the most significant damage was found in the wood of trees that can harm future harvests.
