The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Adela Martinez-Cache, held this week a meeting with farmers in various irrigation communities of the region in the house 'La Campana', Cieza, which was rehabilitated and equipped with financing of aid Leader of the Rural Development Programme.
This house dates from 1919 and is located on a plot of 33,000 square meters surrounded by fruit in the hamlet 'The Ginete', and pine and palm trees over 250 years.
The facilities, which are located four kilometers from Cieza, offer ten places of accommodation.
The Leader initiative has enabled the Region of Murcia development and diversification of local economies.
From the Department of Agriculture and Water has worked with the four Local Action Groups in the rural areas of the region are structured by providing support for all projects to revitalize and develop the various rural areas.
Since 1994 have been conducted with the support of aid Leader 235 performances lodgings, restaurants, inns and camping, with a total investment of 32 million euros, of which 13 are public aid.
75 percent of rural houses with quality Q originate from projects financed with aid Leader Rural Development Programme.
