Local Red Cross Committee Cieza elected president Manuel Lopez Salinas for the next four years.
Ascension Ato, in his farewell, thanked the unconditional support over the years that its mandate lasted, received by all and urged the new team to continue working together towards the values ​​of the Red Cross.
"I conclude my time in front of Cieza Red Cross with very positive results," he said, "I do not show up for re-election for personal reasons but will continue to serve Cieza Red Cross from my post as member of the local committee".
Manuel Lopez Salinas (Cieza 1968) manager of a local company and pvc carpentry studied teaching, although he has not exercised.
He joined Red Cross Cieza in 2011 launching the program "School Support," which is now in its third year.
Since May 2014 he has served as secretary of the local committee.
In his first speech as president, Manuel Lopez has stressed the need to continue putting in value the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and recalled a slogan that defines what will be its mandate.
"From Cieza Red Cross will try to alleviate human suffering in all its forms".
