The Councillor for Health, María Jesus Lopez, reports that since its municipal area is performing an extraordinary disinfestation treatment to eradicate an infestation of cockroaches that has emerged due to the high temperatures, leading to an explosion of insect population and generating nuisance to neighbors.
Fumigation is being implemented in the sewer system of the town of Cieza Ascoy residential area.
The works are carried out by the Company Applications Persistent Alps.
From City of Cieza it is working to increase preventive actions.
According to Lopez, "it is most effective act on the control of insect and rodent populations before they become a problem for citizens, increasing the frequency of treatment and not neglecting the control of pests."
On the other hand, the Department of Health reports that it has undertaken a preventive treatment legionella control in all public sources of the municipality.
