Lieutenant Colonel Miguel Javier Moreno, head of the Third Battalion of Intervention Military Emergency Unit, based in the Valencian town of Bétera, thanked in a letter to the mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, the treatment by the City to Members of the unit during its intervention in extinguishing forest fires this August in the municipality.
The letter reads: "With this letter I want to express my sincere appreciation and my unit for the treatment shown towards the staff of the Military Emergency Unit during the time that intervened in the forest fire that affected the municipal term of Cieza the days 6,7, 8 and 9 of this August. Despite the difficult times experienced by the City Council, we have seen firsthand the continued support and appreciation for the Unit, support reflects a high degree of understanding and affection to all the Armed Forces. The establishment of the logistics base in sports facilities contributed significantly to the rest of the staff and improving the quality of life during the procedure. "
Similarly, Javier Moreno extends its gratitude to all staff of the Municipal Corporation, "in particular the Head of the Local Police, José María Hernández García, which always showed a total readiness and gave us excellent collaboration" .
