Cieza City Council, chaired by the mayor, Pascual Lucas, was this week the Local Council Agrario, thus running the municipal plenary agreement a few weeks ago.
In the council they are represented agricultural organizations UPA, COAG, FECOAM, cooperatives, irrigators and political parties with municipal representation.
In this first meeting realized agricultural technical conferences that will be held in a few days organized by COAG and Agriculture Service Office.
They addressed the issue in this edition of 'Alternatives and crop diversification. "
Moreover, in the course of that constituent assembly, it was about options to avoid burning bales of straw to prevent frost in the spring, presenting a study of possible alternatives prepared by the City.
During the discussion of this topic it stressed "the importance for our city, has the agricultural sector and collective efforts that it takes to minimize the effects of those fires, which occur in a very timely manner."
In another vein, Councillor for Agriculture, Antonio Moya, also reported on the performance in key rural roads in the municipality, as recommended by the sector of farmers.
It was also informed of the intention to develop a catalog of paths for further action on them, requesting the collaboration of farmers to make that list, as well as future conservation work of these pathways used in farming.
Finally, the board appointed a standing committee that will be formed by the councilor of this department and one representative for each of the UPA, COAG and FECOAM organizations.
