Socialist Youth of Cieza presented next November 27 the 5th edition of the photography contest "LOVE IS NOT THE HOST" to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against women.
Also this year an exhibition of photographs of the five editions of the competition from 23 to 28 November at the Cultural Hall of Cajamurcia will be held.
From Socialist Youth intend once again, that the young people of our town use photography as a tool for raising awareness and gender violence.
In addition to this initiative we intend to convey a fundamental idea;
"LOVE IS NOT THE HOST" a phrase that gives name to the competition.
The photograph must give a view on gender violence through the complaint, awareness or information about causes, ways to address it, means to the complaint, or resources for assistance to victims.
The photograph illustrating the poster this year is the work of artist Carolina Rossi-Ferrari, winner of the previous edition.
The deadline for submission of papers to the participants will open on October 30 and end on November 22.
The competition, free registration, is for young people up to 31 years and works js_cieza@hotmail.com be sent to the address along with the name, date of birth, telephone number and email address of the person submitting the photo.
This year has had the help of several city businesses to sponsor the awards thus be granted by the commitment Bakery Manolo a first prize of 200 euros, a second prize of 100 euros sponsored by New Concise, SL and third prize sponsored by Butcher Carteya 50 euros (the latter being a special award chosen by the public, who may vote for their favorite via facebook until 26 November).
New this year an exhibition will be held at the Cultural Hall of CajaMurcia photographs of the five editions.
The exhibition will be open from 23 to 28 November from 18:00 to 22:00.
Likewise, the awards ceremony will take place at the Cultural Hall of CajaMurcia November 27 at 20:30.
The idea is to make the competition and the pictures more accessible to people, and lead to greater awareness of society and show pictures of the five editions of the competition and evolution.
Since we began JSCieza forward to the fifth edition of the traditional contest, hoping to return to host the sample involvement, imagination and art that we have been receiving from five years ago and we are deeply proud and proud.
