Wednesday morning started reforestation work in areas belonging to the canyon Almadenes and Almorchón, which suffered a fire last August.
These tasks are covered by the recovery plans of the Ministry of Environment for the environment Almadenes barrel, the Almorchón Sierra and Sierra del Almirez.
The budget for the rehabilitation of Almorchón is around 450,000 euros in a plan expected to develop over ten years, while the canyon area Almadenes an investment of 1,102,000 euros.
Emergency actions planned are short and removal of burned wood, which is essential for the prevention of pests, hydrological correction works to mitigate erosion, and the adequacy of road networks to allow work in the three landscapes.
Environmental reconstruction work will be carried out with the help of volunteers in the third year of implementation of this plan, after assessing the ability of environmental regeneration of the ecosystem.
