Five of the managers Murciano Health Service (SMS) have obtained the prestigious Quality Mark for Excellence in Management Club, an organization representing the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
The laureates are the Health Area V (Altiplano) and Cartagena primary care and hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca, Reina Sofia and Cieza.
The EFQM quality seal, called "Commitment to Excellence / Committed to Excellence ', which currently holds just over 200 organizations throughout Spain.
In the words of CEO of Quality Care, Education & Research Health, José Antonio García, "is the result of efforts of all professionals to transform the regional Public Health in a national benchmark of quality to provide a quality service to citizens."
To obtain these distinctive different managements have had to undergo a rigorous examination of consistent quality in-depth review of the organization, its internal relationships and, especially, everything about citizen services.
Similarly been carefully measured internal relations, patterns of communication and leadership role, and the qualifications of professionals in the occupational structure of each management.
The European Model of Excellence's main objective is to promote excellence in European companies and organizations.
For this is intended to promote an environment in which, in a manner consistent, professionals are always very aware of the relevance to the market changes and new user requirements.
Thus, ultimately, is to enhance the competitiveness and quality in the comprehensive management of it.
Through these evaluation efforts in the management of organizations and businesses, EFQM is since 1990 in Europe's main tool for measuring and improving the quality and excellence in the management of organizations.
