The Mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo, has announced that the Court of First Instance and Instruction number one of Cieza has dismissed the proceedings for an alleged case of corruption that the United Left accused his government, because of hiring an architect.
United Left accused the mayor of verbal contract and without complying with the legal process of technical services for the Urban area and harm the interests of recognizing the plenary municipal financial obligations owed to the professional.
In October 2007 the Prosecutor referred the case to the Court No 1 of Cieza, whose owner has now decreed that in this case there is no substantiated evidence of malfeasance.
Tamayo stated that "has been the prosecutor himself who warns the Court on the dismissal of the case, to understand that recruitment could be justified on grounds of urgency and that the processing of payments are made according to criteria established by the state council for these assumptions. "
The Mayor also pointed out that the prosecution admitted that the recognition of services is a figure that has been used frequently in the Municipality of Cieza by all local authorities, and has stated that the PSOE-IU coalition made use of this resource stage of government.
Antonio Tamayo was pleased with this court ruling, which "once again proves that our government operates within the bounds of the law" and reiterated that all allegations made by the subject "was a ploy in the last municipal elections tarnish the good management of the government team. "
Finally, he warned that this is the third court decision favorable to his administration, along with those of commercial exchange with the Ciezagolf and the Court of Auditors and expressed his confidence that the pending lawsuits follow the same course.
