The Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, signed today in the City of Cieza final approval of the General Municipal Plan Review Management (PGMO) the town of Cieza, which has developed under the regulatory framework new Land Law of the Region of Murcia.
The counselor, who was accompanied by the Mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo, today visited the town to celebrate the Governing Board of the Ministry.
During his stay in Cieza, José Ballesta visited a development of 17 homes for young people that the Institute for Housing and Land in the Region of Murcia (IVS) is building in the town.
This is a promotion, part of the Youth Housing Plan for the Region of Murcia 2005-2008, located in Manuel de Falla, who also has 43 parking spaces, and a second class located on Avenida José Ríos Gil which has the construction of another eight houses, six garages and eight storage rooms.
The lots are built on both promotions were disposed of by the IVS in 2007 amounting to EUR 326,282 and 123,794, respectively.
The homes are being built between one and four bedrooms, with an area ranging between 42.21 and 90 sq meters, and its price ranges between 93,072 and 43,961 euros.
The first of these promotions will be completed during 2009, while the second is now almost complete.
Ballesta also used his visit to the rehabilitation Cieza to know that the Directorate General of Housing and Architecture is taking place in the Convent of San Joaquin and San Pascual, units to be allocated to municipal library.
92 percent of the land as undeveloped land
The General Plan Municipal Management Cieza undeveloped land classified as nearly 92 percent of the municipal territory, while one percent are recognized as urban land and more than seven percent is classified as developable land.
In this sense, the majority of developable land remain as land committed for development, either in urban expansion areas or in areas subject to planning agreements for self-development.
The PGMO of Cieza, replacing the existing since 1984, "offers a sound and sustainable model, high technical quality and clarity of presentation, elaborating on a detailed and accurate urban", as noted during the signing Ballesta.
This final step concludes a process that began in 1999 and has been subjected to several public exhibitions, to the processes of environmental assessment and planning, as well as opinions and reports of the Coordination Commission for Regional Policy.
The new PGMO provides land for development to build new homes, enough to meet the demands of populations in the coming years, and housing demand that may occur in areas of tourism development.
The new plan also outlines six areas of building land to industrial and commercial use in the core environment, Ascoy core and near the Venta del Olivo, and provides the necessary reserve for the development of the future path Caravaca Jumilla highway.
Finally, the water supply for new residential development is ensured by the agreement signed with the Public Entity for Water, to be supplemented with estimates of demand for industrial use developments and economic activity that are proposed from 2010, therefore, as the counselor, "we have a General Plan that addresses the needs of urban growth and population of this county, ensuring that it will entail improvements in communications, industry and, of course, in services present and future populations. "
