The Governing Council has approved an aid of 48,000 euros to the Municipality of Cieza to ensure the maintenance of shelter for women victims of domestic violence in this county.

Foster homes and supervised apartments for victims of domestic violence are a resource of the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration through the Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia, aimed at providing women and their children under 18 years, accommodation and comprehensive care that promote personal autonomy and facilitate their reintegration into society safely.
