The Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia, attended yesterday, with the mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo, the meeting for the committee to monitor the 'Plan to Promote Tourism Product Almadenes Gorge', which is investing in three annual installments of 4,155 000 euros, which contribute equally (1.385 million euros), the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, the Community, through the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Tourist Consortium itself Almadenes Gorge, whose contribution was made the municipalities of Cieza and Calasparra.
The meeting undertook a review the state of the performances of the three annuities, which meant that one of the flagship activities of the Plan, the construction of Almadenes Interpretation Centre, will go to tender in the coming days with a budget of around 900,000 euros.
This center will be located in the town of Cieza, will function to regulate and manage tourism activities in the environmental space of special features and unique in the region.
Other actions in the coming days will see the light guide routes through the town of Cieza and, above all, Almadenes space, allowing nature lovers to enjoy the same in an orderly and with all the information you need to do so.
