The new Center for Social Services of the Municipality of Cieza, whose construction began today, will feature a Women's Center, said the Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, responsible for laying the first stone of this infrastructure.

Responsible for Social Policy said that the importance of setting up these units is that the current Social Services Centre can not give adequate attention and that "has become too small for users who seek services at present and workers can not carry out their work under the best conditions. "

For this reason we launched this project to start the collaboration agreement signed between the Ministry and the City ciezano and which, Social Policy supports more than 600,000 euros to build the center with a total budget of 1.6 million euros.

The new center is located on Calle Mayor de Cieza Zaraiche and is divided into three floors plus a basement which will accommodate the different premises for the care of disabled, elderly, children, immigrants and ethnic minorities, women and other groups or at risk of social exclusion.

In total, 21 people form the team care center, among which include lawyers, psychologists, social workers, translators, teachers, instructors and teacher.

Bascuñana welcomed the launch of a Social Service Centre of its kind "for the direct care of the citizens and especially to those most in need."

It also indicated that it intended to be served around 4,000 customers yearly.
