The Director General of Planning and Housing, Antonio Navarro, today visited the rehabilitation work that the Ministry of Public Works and Land Management runs on several buildings of the old town of Cieza, which will help to recover the historical heritage of the city.
This is a total of ten performances rehabilitation of old buildings Cieza, involving an investment of 271,000 euros from the regional government.
From this set, as has been the conditioning of seven buildings, streets Buitrago, San Sebastian Canovas del Castillo.
Of the remaining performances have begun the renovation of a building and the other two are about to start.
Navarro also visited the Paseo de Ronda de Cieza, which is the oldest part of the village, which is planned to carry out conservation work and renovation of 50 buildings, mainly houses.
"The performance in the area, considered a comprehensive rehabilitation area, is aimed at the restoration of buildings with an outstanding architectural interest to maintain the city's historical heritage and improve the living conditions of the buildings," he said.
Earlier, the Director General met with members of the municipal corporation acts ciezana to treat architectural heritage rehabilitation financed by the Community, among which are the Las Delicias, the convent of San Joaquin and San Pascual, and the group Sanz Orrio housing, said Area Comprehensive Rehabilitation (ARI).
For group housing Orrio Sanz, located in the southeast of the town is planned rehabilitation of 192 multi-family housing, a performance that involve a total investment of over one million euros.
Navarro said that "from the regional government there is a continuing interest in maintaining the historical heritage of the Community, namely the rehabilitation and conservation of older buildings and landmarks, which are what make the idiosyncrasies of each municipality."
