The Director General of Planning, Evaluation and Environmental Control, Francisco Espejo, delivered today to the Municipality of Cieza a self-propelled vacuum sweeper with a diesel engine, two expandable side brushes to adapt to uneven pavement, and a third front brush.
The machine also has programmable sweep and water recovery tank.
The snow is valued at 122,000 euros, which were supported by 80 percent by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union and 20 percent equity in the region.
Francisco Espejo said in the ceremony, the plow "meet the conditions required of the street cleaning service, lowest emissions, both in sound and gas, and an optimal capacity-dimensions."
The manager also stressed that regional "delivery to municipalities of this type of infrastructure for waste management responds to the objectives stated in the OP Cohesion Fund / ERDF for the period 2007-2013, in which the integrated waste management industrial city and is one of the main ways to protect the environment. "
The town of Cieza and has benefited in that period of two teams of underground containers, and in 2000-2006 a mobile recycling center.
Moreover, through the Cohesion Fund also funded the sealing of the landfill and the construction of an eco-park.
